Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to our 2021-2022 school year! I hope everyone enjoyed a relaxing summer and ready for a successful year. I am thrilled to welcome you back to school. It truly is an honor for me to be your new principal at Sunset Hills Elementary this year. The return of students and staff brings the promise of new and meaningful relationships and shared learning experiences that offer great rewards. I will work hard to help us all be successful.

I am excited to work with the amazing staff here at Sunset Hills Elementary and we can’t wait to work with your child. We will focus on the Common Core State Standards, daily interventions, experiential learning, the use of data driven instruction, and making sure that we are meeting the needs of all students. Our goals go beyond teaching academic content. We really want students to be responsible, creative, show initiative, and set and meet goals.

Students, I can’t wait to see your smiling faces and start the school year. I encourage you to take advantage of your education, to study hard, make good choices, and be the best person you can be. The wonderful staff here at Sunset Hills Elementary will help you reach your goals this year.

Parents, I look forward to working with you this year. Together we can help build a safe, fun environment that will enable our students to reach their full potential. As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who walks through our doors- teachers, students, and parents, are excited to be here. This encouraging attitude will help us to work together as a team in the educational process and encourage you to stay connected over the coming weeks and months.
