Ms. Shafer's Class

Student Artwork

During shelter in place, Ms. Shafer's first grade students spent time learning about 17th century letter racks through artistic renderings of paintings and wood carvings by Edward Collier, Cornelis Norbertus Gysbrechts and David Esterly. These pieces have a resemblance to modern bulletin boards and time capsules. The student project was to collect and arrange the items they have found most comforting during these months at home, and then take a photo of the collection.
