Core Activities of AKMIS Library
AKMIS Library, the Learning Resource Center is a resource hub for AKMIS Community. The IB Librarian is a very useful resource person for all students and teachers. The librarian is an expert in academic honesty and can provide ethical guidance alongside information on the most appropriate citation and referencing system and appropriate research skills to use in literary works. Here are the core activities that are supports by AKMIS library personnel.
Library Orientation – One library session at the beginning of the academic year on the introduction to the library; how to find books and how to use the library catalog.
Learning to research, identifying plagiarism, taking notes and paraphrase, how to make a bibliography (works cited) for websites, articles, and books, the difference between a primary and a secondary source.
Lessons on academic integrity to all the students.
Librarian works for significant professional development of the students.
Librarian and supervisor are very beneficial for developing the extended essays skills.
They make a mutual relationship for students developments.
School Librarian also works to develop connectivity with public library and the university library for students.
