Ajou BK21 FOUR "Research on Next-Generation Super-Intelligence Network Convergence" 

The 4th BK21 project's goal is to cultivate an innovative talent who can lead the field of next-generation communication network infra as well as the application services involving Hyper-Space(Satellites & UAV communication), Super-Intelligence, Hyper-Connectivity and Highly trusted Security as its core.

Basic Research Support Program, funded by NRF(National Research Foundation of Korea) 

"D2D Collaborative Technical Research of Ultra-precision on positioning based on the Sensor Convergence for Interactive Media"


The purpose of this research is to develop low-latency/ultra-precise positioning techniques required for the Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality, and others for the interactive media by Multimodal Sensor Fusion based on Intelligent D2D collaborative algorithms and Edge Computing techniques. Furthermore, it is aimed to verify with the real test-bed establish composed of active terminal in order to maximize the suggested techniques practicality .


Project Period : 2020.09 ~ 2024.02 (3-year 6-month)

Research on Mission Variable Multi-Drone Networks funded by Ministry of National Defense 


The main objective of this project is to design reliable TDMA MAC/Multi-hop routing protocols for flying ad-hoc networks consisting of mission-variable multiple drones, and to perform comprehensive M&S(Modeling & Simulation) study using OPNET 


Project Period : 2019.11 ~ 2023.10 (4-year)

MR-IoT Convergence based Disaster Response using AI Research Center (MID-AIRC)

The main goal of this project is about technical development and implementation on preparing /responding for disaster situations that can show effectiveness as disaster response technology  based on MR(Mixed Reality)-IoT(Internet of Things)-AI(Artificial Intelligence) Convergence techniques.


The 1st Stage Period : 2018.07 ~ 2021.12 (3-year & 6-month)

The 2nd Stage Period(Tentative) : 2022.01 ~ 2023.12 (2-year)

Intelligence of Connected Things

Lots of networks such as wired networks, wireless networks, set networks, mobile networks and various other networks are being connected into one and in our field where devices and appliances is used to give users useful information and computing functions automatically, our purpose of the research is to stabilize network conditions so that users could use their devices faster and convenient. For this, we deal with latency, energy, and offloading in the sensors, proceeds our research in networks routing pathway, end users’ user experience, and others which could be included in overall field of the Smart IOT platform.
