PLTW: Project Lead the Way (PLTW) is a national, not-for-profit educational program that assists high-school students in developing strong backgrounds in science and engineering. The following is the link to Project Lead the Way online: http://www.pltw.org/
This class is designed to motivate you to work hard, help you learn to work well with others, improve your higher-level thinking skills and will ultimately result in you having a deep understanding of how the human body is organized, how it works, what can go wrong and how medical interventions can help. This is a college level course and you should be prepared to put forth that level of effort. It will be like no other class you have taken.
Objectives:
This course provides an introduction to the biomedical sciences through exciting “hands-on” projects and problems. Your work will involve the study of human medicine, research processes and an introduction to bio-informatics.
