The PTSO organizes many parent and community-wide events throughout the year. These events include:
The PTSO co-hosts parent Coffee Mornings each school year. These events are often one and a half hours in length and the purpose is to engage our parent community in discussions about student learning at AIS-R.
The PTSO brings AIS-R’s more than 60 nationalities together for a wonderful celebration of global citizenship. There are culture booths, amazing cultural performances, delicious food, exciting raffle prizes, vendors and artisans, and live music. This is the most popular community event of the year and one not to be missed!
Family Fun Day focuses on families being together having fun, community celebration, and school spirit. The event includes live entertainment, children's games, hot food and thrilling raffles prizes.
The PTSO hosts the AIS-R Teacher Appreciation Luncheon in the spring as a show of appreciation for all the hard work that AIS-R Teachers do to help our students flourish.
Awareness Campaigns
The PTSO collaborates with AIS-R on awareness campaigns such as Breast Cancer Awareness Month, You, Me, Community Day, Ramadan, and various charitable initiatives.
Classroom Volunteers
The PTSO assists divisions by providing volunteers as needed.
