About Us...

We are K-12 school librarians who serve the students and youth of our three counties. The Regional Office of Education #47 began supporting all the library staff (certified and non) in all public and private schools during the COVID times of Spring 2020 and continue to support us because Gail Wright is amazing! We all saw the value of meeting via zoom to discuss our own particular situations and needs and finding resources, answers and best practices. Traditional PD in schools is geared to the classroom teacher rather than the school librarian who serves EVERY STUDENT and all staff. A number of us saw the value in formalizing the support by gathering interested librarians who also belong to AISLE and forming OWLS. Welcome to our awesome group! We are committed to helping all of our members be the best they can be in their school and helping everyone to advocate for our kids! Come join us.
