There's been a materials challenge. What do you do?

1. If possible, get the challenge in writing.

2. Refer to your selection policy.

3. Gather reviews and information that support your decision to include the challenged material in your collection.

4. Make sure your administrator is aware of the challenge.

5. Refer to your district's materials challenge procedure and follow it.

6. Fill out the form (below) to report the challenge to AISLE.

7. Report the challenge to the ALA.
