Chicago Public School Board Candidates and School Libraries, November 2024

Welcome to the AISLE and EveryLibrary data collection of Chicago Public Schools Board Candidates for the 2024 Election.  

In September 2024, EveryLibrary and AISLE surveyed candidates who will appear on the November 5, 2024 ballot for the first Chicago Public Schools board election. We asked questions about their views on school libraries and licensed school librarians. As researcher Keith Curry Lance has stated, "Since 1992, a growing body of research has consistently shown positive correlations between high-quality library programs and student achievement."
