6. Students communicate clearly and express themselves creatively for a variety of purposes using the platforms, tools, styles, formats and digital media appropriate to their goals.

6a. Students choose the appropriate platforms and tools for meeting the desired objectives of their creation or communication.

High School students are instructed on how to use WeVideo online collaboration editor, iMovie, or Lightworks to create a literature review vlog.

6b. Students create original works or responsibly repurpose or remix digital resources into new creations.

Kindergarten students learn to use age appropriate online coloring program to depict a celebration scene, which they recently learned about from their core curriculum. They also learned how to use the new Chromebooks.

6c. Students communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively by creating or using a variety of digital objects such as visualizations, models or simulations.

Students in the 2nd grade used Google Maps to show places in their neighborhood. There was also a strong research component to this assignment where students learned that they could search for places they know. Additionally, they learned that digital maps can be used to find new places.

6d. Students publish or present content that customizes the message and medium for their intended audiences.

Third grade students created a real-world project displaying life on campus that was displayed on school TV system as well as sent via shared drive to other new students who have not yet arrived.
