High School History

The National Archives is a great starting point when searching for historical artifacts about the United States. You can look up solider enlistments in the major wars, browse the microfilm catalog, or access databases. This free site has thousands of artifacts to explore.

Finding economic teaching resources at the high school level can be a difficult thing to do. Dollars and Sense wants to help you out. This is a site that holds multiple other resources and sites to hopefully help your classroom instruction. I think it's worth the opportunity cost of checking it out.

In history, we love timelines! American Revolution Interactive Timeline for iPad, is the name of this app, and it is exactly that. I think what makes this app cool is the design of it. There are lot so of pictures and artifacts, sound bytes etc. It's an easy to use app and best of all it's free.

The New York Times calls Back in Time the coolest e-text book app out there. It is full of lots of cool videos and images. This is a relatively inexpensive ($5) resource that may be really beneficial for your instruction. Whether you mirror this e-book to your class with your Apple TV, share the videos, or use it for research, I think it's definitely worth the price of a Starbucks coffee.
