Sticking with the "oldie but goody" citation sites, the Purdue Online Writing Lab is the playbook for properly citing work in both APA and MLA formats. It's free, and more importantly will be an asset for your students to reference.

Storybird is a digital book creator that allows students to create some really professional looking products. Storybird would be most powerful with the publication of short stories or poetry collections. Teachers have the option of creating a class and it has some LMS features such as recording assignments to individual students or the class as a whole. Students have the option of printing their books or downloading them as an e-book. Storybird has lots of options and it's free. Check it out!

Read Theory is a website built for building student literacy and comprehension skills. Basically there are short paragraphs and really great questions that follow them. It's free and it's a great way for students to improve their reading skills.
