Dear Parents and Guardians,

As part of our ongoing commitment to prioritizing the safety and security of all students at Anahuac Independent School District, we are making an important update to our lunch visitor policy. These changes aim to maintain a secure campus environment while also fostering opportunities for meaningful family involvement.

Starting January 7,  2025, lunch visitors will be limited to parents, legal guardians, step-parents and grandparents. We believe that this adjustment will help us keep the school environment safe and structured, while still offering a chance for families to engage with their children during lunchtime.

Updated Lunch Visitor Guidelines:

1. Limited Visitor Access
   In line with our closed campus policy, only parents,  legal guardians, step-parents or grandparents of enrolled students will be allowed to join their children during lunch starting on January 7, 2025. We ask that other family members, friends, or visitors refrain from visiting during lunchtime.

2. Visitor Check-In Process
   All visitors must check in at the school office upon arrival. A valid photo ID will be required for identification. This step ensures that we maintain the safety of all students and verify the identity of those visiting.

3. Outside Food
   Visitors are welcome to bring lunch for themselves and their own child; however, students may only eat food brought by their own family members.

4. Special Circumstances
   If you have any special circumstances or concerns regarding the new policy, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office. 

We understand that this policy change may require some adjustments, but we are confident that it will help us strike the right balance between school safety and family engagement. We are grateful for your understanding and continued support in making Anahuac ISD campuses a safe and welcoming place for all students.
