3rd Graders attended a field trip to the Harvest Rice Mill in Anahuac, Texas. Students, staff and parents learned how local rice is grown, harvested, packaged and sold. Students were able to rotate through 6 interactive stations.
4th Graders attended a field trip to Double Bayou Crawfish Farm to learn about harvesting crawfish. The students were able to have hands-on experiences with raising and catching crawfish.
5th Graders in Mrs. DeLaCruz's class partnered with the Food Service Department to grow and harvest lettuce using a hydroponic tower. After planting, the tower works to provide nutrients and water to the plants! Students were able to harvest the plants for our cafeteria staff to prepare a salad that will be served at AES!
The Anahuac Elementary Honors Choir sang Christmas Carols at our Open House! The choir is led by our music teacher Mrs. Gesford.
The students received a backpack full of brand new books from the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation and 1PointFive, our sponsors! AES is so very thankful to these sponsors for adding some literature to our little panther's lives!
The NEHS students baked goods for a Christmas Bake Sale at Open House!
3rd Graders visited Minute Maid, Home of the Houston Astros!
5th Graders participated in a Mock Presidential Election on Election Day!
4th Graders visited NASA Space Center Houston!
The Houston Texans mascot, Toro, visited Anahuac Elementary School to teach the students an important lesson about bullying. His motto is to take the BULL out of Bullying by following these steps:

Anahuac Elementary 5th grade students travelled to Winnie, Texas to learn all about rice farming at the Texas Rice Festival. The students enjoyed the hands-on experiences and stations!
