About The Fun Run

Energy Management hosted its first Fun Run in April of 2014 based on a steering committee member's suggestion. After the first race, it became clear it was going to become an annual tradition for AISD. The proceeds from the race fund the Energy Grants we can give to campuses that apply each year for monies that will support energy-saving ideas. With the exception of 2020, we have continued the tradition; after COVID forced us to cancel 2020's fun run, we knew we had to find a way to adapt to avoid another cancellation. So in 2021, we hosted the first-ever Virtual Super Saver Fun Run! The Virtual Fun Run went great, but nothing compares to coming out and spending time together as a community.
