Volunteer Instructions

General Procedures

1. Show up for check in 10-15min before shift

2. Check in at the Welcome Table of the main tent

3. Download the GroupMe app

4. Join the event GroupMe

   1. Search "Gunn FAF Volunteers"

   2. Answer the question to receive access to the chat

5. Head over to your designated area

6. Report any issues to the event coordinators via GroupMe

Welcome Table

• Welcome people and sell wristbands

• Check in Volunteers and point them to their area

• Answer guest questions

Medical Tent

• A certified, medical professional will be on staff the entire event

• Provide basic first aide as directed

  • Medical supplies will be provided

• Medical Emergency Procedure

  • Contact the parents (if applicable)

  • Call 9-1-1

  • Follow instructions of the primary medical professional

  • Report incident to the coordinators via GroupMe

• Debrief post incident

INflatables Area

• Check for wrist bands

• Ensure children are playing safely.

• If children are causing issues, notify the coordinators in GroupMe.

  • Coordinators will contact an administrator to have the student taken to their parent.

• Wait to be relieved of your shift before leaving

Clean Up Crew

• Ensure areas with trash cans are clean

• Remove and replace trash bags when full

• Take trash to designated trash collection area

• Trash from the collection area will be taken to the dumpster by Clean Up Crew Volunteers or park staff (if available)

Bathroom Crew

• Ensure bathroom areas are stocked with toilet paper and hand sanitizer

• Report any issues through the GroupMe to the coordinators

• If possible, we will have park staff take care of any major "issues"
