The Dr. Marcelo Cavazos Center for Visual and Performing Arts is proud to host contemp.co, the school's premiere dance company. Offered as a class period at the CVPA, contemp.co brings together advanced dancers from all six of Arlington ISD's high school campuses to collaborate and produce high-level contemporary and modern dance pieces. Dancers participating in contemp.co are challenged to perform and express themselves at a level that prepares them for the high expectations of a collegiate dance program. Contemp.co dancers have the opportunity to work with outside choreographers and college dance instructors throughout the year and serve as community ambassadors through a variety of performances that promote the fine arts in Arlington ISD.

Interested in joining contemp.co?
Dancers who are interested in joining contemp.co for the upcoming school year should reach out to the program director or their current AISD Dance teacher for more information. Dancers will be admitted to contemp.co based on a variety of factors, including past dance experience, modern and contemporary technique, work ethic, creativity, and ability to positively contribute to a company-style environment.
