This task is used to help structure your learning over the first half of your HSC course.
Drafts of this task will be due in stages over Term 1 and Term 2, with the final program, documentation and log book due at the end of term 2.

- Do NOT put this task off
- Take your planning stage seriously - in what order do you need to test, build, integrate and document the different parts of your project?
- The draft requirements are a guide - you are not expected to use a pure structured/waterfall approach
- You can and should have multiple versions of almost everything that is submitted
- Test your ideas early, throw out options unfeasible given the time constraints
- Maintain your log and documentation as you go
- Feel free to restrict your scope to just the core part of your project - leave the extras as future options
- On Classroom you have all been given a copy of the
- Documentation Template as a guide for what is required and how you might set it out.
- Log Book template, designed to meet the requirements from the Course Specs. You need to keep a logbook, but not necessarily use this template!
- For searching for software similar to that which you wish to create, try sites like alternativeto.net
- For generating test data, use CASE tools like Mockaroo
