Despite having only one practice before the match, the AIS U20B volleyball team quickly adapted and developed effective strategies, putting up a strong challenge against our opponents in the second set.

The AIS U20B volleyball team made significant progress in playing in system and demonstrated solid attacking skills. Despite more service errors, our U20B used other skills to solidify a win against the opponents.

HKIS was ready to go. The bus was on time. We were learning new rotations and girls were having some success and were in competitive games.  We had a few bump, set, spikes, and better free ball passing.  Serving is still an area to improve on.  Kiki and Kailey played for HKIS “B” in first game as they split their team in half. I reffed the 5:00 match as KGV cancelled, and refs refused to work it.  HKIS AD/Teacher followed up and helped ref the 2nd game. Everyone was on time, bus got to Admiralty 6:40.

The girls showed a lot of character and resilience to compete against a very talented team. There were glimpses of what we can achieve as a team when we work together. Proud of everyone giving their best!

We’ve launched our season with a stellar win against GSIS! The team excelled in their communication, maintaining high energy throughout the match. Our serves were powerful, and our passing was on point, setting the foundation for effective plays. Moving forward, we’ll keep enhancing our court communication and focus on executing strategic plays to elevate our performance even further.

In a spirited match, the U14 Girls team faced a tough opponent and fell 8-2. Despite the score, their teamwork and individual skills excited the coaching staff. The girls showed great resilience, fighting for every ball until the final whistle.

Adaptability at its finest. Despite our U20 Boys Volleyball team having a change in venue and time of matches, they played gave their best in this match. The boys worked hard together as a team to play in system but unfortunately lost a close match to CIS on serving. The boys are learning to play with more tactics, in addition to utilizing their athleticism. Thank you Mr. Jacky for guest coaching and managers for keeping the team organized. 

A friendly rivalry between one player to another drove our U20 Boys Volleyball team to compete at an even better level. The boys overall played liked a seasoned team. Confidence can continue to be built on when to utilize their athleticism and when to use other strategies to get ahead. Despite the loss, our U20 Boys Volleyball team has begun to work together as a team to utlize each other’s strengths on the court.

Result: 2-0 Loss to STC and a 2-0 Win against Nord Anglia

The U14 girls battled hard against a tough serving squad from Shatin College. They came up just short, but delivered lots of great rallies, serving streaks, and several middle attacks that resulted in points! The team used a libero for the first time this season, and they did a great job. Several players had successful hits, while strong passing picked up many serves and tips. They then moved into the second game against a weaker Nord Anglia squad and capitalized with consistent serving, earning their first win in this competitive Div 2 league! The team looks forward to the next games against HKA and Discovery College.

In our recent match against Malvern College Hong Kong, we celebrated a strong 2-0 victory, thanks to the girls' exceptional teamwork and communication on the court. Their coordinated plays and strategic positioning allowed us to dominate offensively, with well-timed spikes and accurate serves. Overall, it was a fantastic display of skill and unity, and I couldn't be prouder of how the team came together to secure the win!

The girls played their best game to date and came close to scoring several goals. The upward curve in confidence is promising to see, and we look forward to develping even further.

In our game against the Australian International School of Hong Kong, we secured a solid victory with a score of 2-0. Our middles made some excellent blocks, which helped to shut down the opposing team's attacks. Additionally, our setter delivered some amazing sets that allowed us to execute our offensive plays effectively.

Today, we played two volleyball games. We started strong against DSC and managed to secure a 2-1 victory. Our second match was against YMCA, where we faced a tough loss with a score of 0-2. Despite the outcome, our libero made some impressive saves throughout the day. Communication on the court was great, and everyone was incredibly supportive of each other.

Result: 2-0 Win to HKA and a 0-2 Loss against Discovery College

The U14 girls came off to a fiery start against HKA. They had at least 10 kills and very consistent gameplay. Several players were a force at the net with strong attacks and consistent serving. The team continued to show fantastic ball control, passing, and attacking. After such a strong start, they faced Discovery College, who played a tactically different game. The team was not used to seeing a setter out of the middle and started to run out of steam for the second game. They almost forced a 3rd set with a nail-biter finish, 24-26. The squad continues to have lots of great rallies, some serving streaks, and several middle attacks that resulted in points!

Many of the boys showed great improvement in this game. We did our best to follow our strategy. Everyone played with strong team spirit and energy. We were proud to score the first goal. Even though we made some mistakes, we learned from them and will try to play even better next time.

Our team showed great improvement in this match. KSHK scored the first goal, but we didn’t give up. We responded quickly and scored the second goal of the game. The players worked hard and stayed focused. If we had a little more time, we might have won the match. Great job team!

We played two games today. The first was against ISF, which we lost 0-2, and the second was against HKIS, where we also lost 0-2. These were tough losses, but the games were incredibly close. The girls never gave up and truly gave it their all. Our libero made some amazing saves in both matches, and I'm pleased to see our serving has improved. Although we faced two challenging defeats, I'm proud of the team for their effort. Let's focus on our practices next week and prepare for our final games the following week. Let's finish this season strong!

The team has improved dramatically over the course of the season.  KG5 was the number 2 team and we narrowly lost 27-26 and 25-22.  We showed great composure under pressure and the girls are knocking on the door of victory. The snack bag really helped us play our late 5:30 second game.  Everyone should be proud of their efforts, learning a 4-2 serve receive with a stack, understanding how to create middle attacks, and numerous jump serve and overhand serving techniques to keep our opponents on their toes. Well done team!

All the boys played in the match and did well. We were are far ahead of the oppenent. The "Mercy Rule” started 7 mins before the match ended. But we missed some very good opportunities under the backboard. I believe we will improve in the next match! Overall, a great match!

U20 showcased impressive teamwork and determination. We came out strong and transitioned some of the things we’ve been practicing from our training into the game. Displaying the skills and hard work. The defense was strong, with players supporting each other and limiting the opponent's chances.

Individual talents shone, contributing crucial baskets and assists, while the overall team spirit remained high throughout the game. Even during challenges, the players encouraged one another, demonstrating true sportsmanship. Keep up the great work and carry this positive energy into the next match!

U20 came out a little bit flat and were trailing when the first quarter finished. We kept changing our defense and gained a lot of benefits from it. We did a pretty good job on our box out today, also manipulated our opponent whenever they used zone defense. Our bench players brought in a lot of energy on the court, making a really good rotation with the start-up. We will keep improving our defense and wish we could have some transition plays next game!

Summaries(short paragraph): We did not get “ Mercy Rule” this time since the opponent was stronger than the previous ones. But we remained at least 9 poins gap most time.  All the boys played in the match and did well. We made some mistakes when passing. We will work on it and hope to improve in next match.

Result: 30-13 (Loss)

This was our third game of the season and the team was ready to play!  We came off to a strong start, but were plagued with a few injuries early in the game. AIS started to transition better, rebound more often, and score more points than the previous game. Fortunately, there was popcorn provided after the game and good sportsmanship and effort was displayed by everyone.

U20 came out strong with splendid execution on the court, we kept driving the ball to the basket according to the play we've been practicing over the past two weeks. We got a bit sloppy after making the gap over 20, NAIS was biting us on the tail and made a lot of three points at second and third quarters. Start-up came back on the court in the last quarter and led the team to the W at the end.

Result: 26 - 14

We rounded out the season with a very well played game against Kellett!  The girls tried using both a zone defense and man to man with lots of success. AIS started to utilize outlet passing, and drawing fouls while attacking the basket which resulted in some successful free throw shooting.  Unfortunately, the interceptions were the difference, and Kellett kept attacking from close range inside of the key.  The eagles scored the most points this season and can be proud of the achievements and development.

U20 was showing the most exciting game against our old opponent - GSIS. In the final, we had good control of Rebound, kept driving the ball to the basket and controlling the pace of the game by enforcing high- intensity defense most of the time, giving GSIS a really tough time for the whole game. The game was nail-biting, and every player was showing their incredible tenacity on the floor. GSIS used its lethal weapon - Full Court Press - pretty much the whole game, causing a lot of chaos for us to a certain extent.

Overall, this season, we have been improving a lot. From losing 25 points the first time we played against them, to leading the whole game in the first three quarters in the final, we have no regret in giving this season our best efforts! Hope we will be able to play with this high - caliber teams and keep moving forward next season!!! Let's go Eagle!!!

Result: 3-1 Loss

The U20 girls team had their season opener at Malvern College on the rooftop.  Playing 7 a-side there are some different rules such as no offsides.  Hanna Hirae kicked off the scoring with not even 10 seconds into the game to put AIS up 1-0!  Unfortunately, there were a couple of goals before half time to put the score at 2-1. In the second half we changed the formation to be more offensively minded and kept the second half at 0-0 until a phantom penalty call that resulted in another goal.

The U20 girls team faced their neighbourhood rivals Yew Chung at KTP.  We had 10 players rise to the challenge and kept the game very even throughout the first half.  On the last play of the first half, Yew Chung managed to get a good shot off to score their first goal and take the lead 1-0.  AIS hit 2 posts during the game and kept fighting into the second half.  We tried to push extra people up to force the tie, but similar to the first half, Yew Chung sealed the deal with a late goal in the final minute.

Our first match up of the 2026 season was an exciting nail biter to the end.  Our girls played well and demonstrated very good sportsmanship and determination.  All games came down to a few points and the last doubles game went into double deuce points.  We look forward to our next match and will continue to train.

We won our first match up of the season!  Our girls’ training paid off and we saw improvements in all aspects of our game. We played with confidence and integrity and look forward to our next game.

It was a tough game between HKA! The boys played a great game and kept their spirits up. Even though they lost, they found some great doubles pairs and bonded all together as a team!

What a nailbiting game we had against DSC.  DSC put forward some very strong players, but our girls fought hard and went into the super tiebreaker 3-3 games!  Unfortunately, the tie breaker did not go our way but we had fun and played with very positive attitudes and team spirit!

The U14 boys played a great game against CIS! With two players down, we only had 6 boys competing.  Each of the players played their very best and it paid off in the end.  Vivaan and Phoenix played the winning game in an intense doubles match.  In the end, AIS beat CIS 4-2.  Great job, boys!

The U14 boys played an intense game against SIS!  Each of the matches were very close.  Jayden Kwok played a great winning game in his first ever singles match!  Great job, Jayden!  In the end AIS tied with SIS 3-3.

TThe U14 boys did amazing in their game against AISHK! Kevin and Vivaan both won their single matches and the doubles teams won all three! This brought the score to 5-1 AIS. Congratulations on a great win!

Today was a difficult match up for our girls as we had to face the top seeded team in a double header match up.  We managed to win two games in the regular season match up but the semi-final games was

Our 2026 season came to an end with a close game that did not go our way with a score of 4 games to 2.  We managed to win a singles game and a doubles game but ultimately could not match their top players.  We are looking forward to next season and a fresh start!

AIS started the game strong, getting an early lead from a exceptional pass to the striker. Within a minute, the opposing school tied the game up with a long range goal. After halftime, the game was close, as both schools stepped up their defence. The other school capitalized on some mistakes, allowing them to score a few goals. AIS had a couple of good chances to make a comeback although they weren’t able to capitalize. The team still ended the game in high spirits, improving a lot from their first game!

The U12 girls team came off to a strong start dominating the first set 25-8 against CIS.  Ruby and Kailey served the ball very well. We started to move our feet to the ball, did better on serve receive and had some success passing to the setter.  Our transition game was much better and there were many moments to celebrate including two bump set hits.  We are off to a great start to the season.

Result:  Friendly - ICS - LOSS 2-1 and League vs Renaissance 2-0

The AIS U12’s were excited to face another top team ICS in a friendly.  There were many successful rallies as serves were in play for both teams.  We had one exciting bump, set, spike, and upwards of 10 rallies with 3 contacts on our side.  It was very encouraging to be leading in a third set, but unfortunately we struggled to pass at the end.  It will be great to see ICS again in league play.  We came out strong against Renaissance with a 25-7 win led by dominant serving.  All 10 players were utilized in both games and did a great job fulfilling their roles.

What a turnaround! AIS secured their first win of the season in style, dominating Kellett School with an incredible 8-goal performance. The improvement from the start of the season has been nothing short of fantastic. A huge shout-out to our goalkeeper Alice, who has clearly found her new niche—her powerful and precise kicks sent the ball up the field time and again, making a massive difference in the game. So proud of this team’s growth and fight. On to the next!
