"This was my final project for my first architecture studio ever. The piece accompanies many others created by my fellow studio mates in an attempt to come together and form a cohesive living and dwelling area on the side of a small hill. Looking at this piece reminds me of the memories and friendships that I formed, as well as the lessons I have learned in my first studio".

Caitlin Senne, Affordable Housing, Topographic Relationship GIF
"This GIF demonstrates how the buildings in our affordable housing proposal interact with the site's steeply sloping topography. Its intent was to make this complex interaction easy to understand in our final presentation. Group members included @dannyyy.dwg and @griffin_lutz".

Toni Ly, ARCH283 Section Drawing
"I'm drawn to an architectural narrative that is specific to its place, responsive to its environment, and characterized by its timelessness. Regardless of the type of drawing, I do my best to create evoking images through storytelling and collage media. However, my process always begins on a roll of trace paper. And then on another. And another".

Mckenzie Vanko ,
Sun Shading Device
"This piece was created in ECS I alongside Brooke Brady. A lot of experimentation and analysis, including climate consultant analysis, a sun shading map, and rhino modeling went into creating this piece with the added benefit of thinking about the seasonality of how greenery would affect the sun shading device. I would definitely recommend a lot of iterating and test modeling to create the sun shading device using common materials and a sun peg chart".
