Necessary skills and subtopics are included within Mathspace to support the curriculum requirements and develop learning outcomes required by ACARA. Content is scaffolded to enhance engagement for a wide variety of learners.
Open-ended tasks are used so students can explore investigations that encourage student conversations and connections between concepts.
A diagnostic module is central the the package, allowing identification of weaknesses in skills and understanding, which are linked to learning modules that allow students to independently resolve and develop mastery in these gaps of understanding.
Mathspace is designed to be both teacher and students driven, allowing students to take ownership of their learning.

On Wednesday, 4th May 2022, Mathspace hosted their first Parents & Carers webinar. It was very popular, with over 1000 people registered to attend from Mathspace schools across Australia.
The webinar went for 30 minutes and included some great questions from parents. Erin Byrne from Mathspace demonstrated to everyone how Mathspace works and gave parents & carers of students tips on what they could do, to encourage their children to complete their Mathspace work.
This webinar is useful for parents to watch. It covers what your can be doing as maths practice, in addition to what's being assigned to them as homework already. Erin the presenter from Mathspace goes through how to use Mathspace for self-directed practice.
