I met Becky Albertalli!

In April, I took students to Teen Lit Con here in the Twin Cities. Authors come to talk to students about their books, writing process, and to generally nerd out with them about what they read. This year, the headlining authors were Tomi Adeyemi (Children of Blood and Bone), Becky Albertalli (Simon vs. The Homosapiens Agenda, Leah on the Off-Beat), Lamar Giles (SPIN), and Jarrett Krosozcka (Lunch Lady series, Hey Kiddo). It was so awesome to hear these authors speak about how they became writers and what they went through to get published. I look forward to going again in the spring on 2020! To the left is a picture of two of my students with Becky Albertalli.
