Pride Alive is an extracurricular, audition-only vocal ensemble. Informational meeting and auditions are held in September. Weekly rehearsals are Thursday mornings from 7:30-8:10 am in the choir room. Pride Alive performs at various Oak View choir concerts, local elementary schools, senior centers, and the OVMS Memorial Day assembly.
This group is a fun, challenging opportunity to sing outside of the school day. Participants must have a strong commitment to ALL rehearsals and ALL performances with the support of their parents/guardians. This commitment enables us to attain a high level of excellence while we represent our music department, our school, and ourselves in the community. Students are expected to purchase a t-shirt for performances.
Thursday, September 18th, 7:30 am: Informational meeting
Thursday, September 25th, 7:30 am: Auditions in small groups
Students from any grade can audition, and they do not have to be in choir class (or any music class)!
Students must be present at both Thursday mornings to be considered for the group.
Interested students should see Mr. Slavik in the choir room.
