Each school will provide one worker for each race for one of the monitoring sites. (The flag post at the monitoring site will be marked with a number 1 through 14. Schools will monitor the corner that is the same as their lane assignment.)

If the flag is red, the course monitor should stand facing the runners with left hand on pole.
If the flag is yellow, the monitor should stand facing the runners with right hand on pole.
NOTE: Athletes need to stay on the right side of a red flag and left side of a yellow flag.
Athletes can be either side of the blue flag but must stay within 10 feet.
The monitor should verbally direct athletes to stay on the course!
If the athlete does not adhere to the request, report the bib number.
Monitor should also verbally state that spectators must stay off of the course if necessary.
The location being monitored by a school is the same as the lane assignment. Monitors should report to the location by the race start time.
