The Mission of the Morris Bye Parent Group is to work in collaboration with and support of the teachers, staff, parents, and community members for the educational, physical, emotional, and social welfare of our community learners.
To build the relationship between home and school.
To promote the welfare of students in home, school, and community.
To provide input, support, and recommendations in matters of programs, projects, activities, policies, and functions of the school.
To provide involvement in the decision making process as it relates to planning, growth, development, and evaluation of Morris Bye Elementary School.
To assist in securing adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
We are parents of kids ranging from Kindergarten to 5th grade. We all work outside the home and have kids in sports/activities - which definitely leads to some busy schedules! It's totally worth it though. Feeling like we are part of a community is priceless to our families.

During the day, Kara works in sales (manufacturing), and her free time is spent taking her daughter (grade K) to taekwondo or on play dates. She has previous experience with volunteerism and fundraising but took a pause to focus on her family. Kara is excited to get back into the swing of things and looks forward to contributing to the MBPG team.
