Anoka County 4-H is holding a sale of gently-used or new prom/formal dresses and accessories. Over 1000 beautiful garments of all sizes and colors will be sold for $30 and under! Many of the dresses are new. 4-H Youth Leaders organize this affordable service to the community. CASH AND CHECK SALES ONLY. All proceeds of sale will support Anoka County 4-H Youth Leadership programs, scholarships, and community service projects.

After summer school programs have ended but the school year has not yet begun, many children experience a food gap. Every Meal helps close this food gap by making our food accessible in various community locations throughout the Twin Cities and beyond.
What: Free, shelf-stable meal bags containing 4-5 pounds of good food including a variety of fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains, and entrees. They provide approximately four meals.
When: Available from July 29, 2022 – September 5, 2022

Who: Any child, family, or individual who needs it.
How: Simply go to the front desk and ask for a meal bag. No qualifications are required, and no information is collected.

Hope For The Community is a humanitarian organization that feeds hundreds of families each week. If you are in need of food or know of someone that needs food, we encourage a visit!

Islamic Center Food Shelf
The ICM Food Shelf is a no-boundaries, no-restrictions food shelf serving all the residents of Minnesota. We serve all people. In addition, to the day of distribution, the food can be collected on the rest of the days in person. Pre-registration is recommended for new clients; please call (763) 571-5604 between 9am and 1pm, Saturday through Thursday. .

Behind on your natural gas bill? Take steps now to avoid service shut-offs and save energy and money
Apply for the Energy Assistance Program: To see if you may qualify for up to $2,000 in free money to help pay your energy bill, contact your local Energy Assistance Program provider listed in the center of this brochure or call the Energy Assistance Program at 800-657-3710. This one application could also qualify you for the Weatherization Program, for free home energy upgrades to help you save energy and reduce your energy bills long term.
Gas Affordability Program (GAP): GAP helps qualifying customers pay past due balances and lower their monthly gas bills. Customers must have received an Energy Assistance Program (see above) grant to qualify. To learn more about GAP, call 612-372-4727 or 800-245-2377.
Set up a payment plan: Minnesota's Cold Weather Rule protects residential customers from service disconnection from October 1 through April 30. You must set up and keep a payment plan with CenterPoint Energy to ensure service is not interrupted. Assistance programs are available to help homeowners or renters with energy bills. If you expect problems paying your heating bills, contact CenterPoint Energy immediately. We offer bill-paying options to qualified customers as well as low-cost energy audits, rebates for energy-saving equipment and can direct you to energy assistance resources. Peace Be Still, LLC is a mental health agency specializing in providing culturally competent mental health services to immigrant populations, primarily Africans in the Diaspora. The aim is to connect underserved populations to quality care and existing community resources, provide mental health awareness, dispel myths and other culturally held biases and beliefs that pose as a barrier to accessing mental health services.
