Tuxes and Dresses

All students in Concert Band are required to wear either a tux or dress to all performances.

Tuxes:

• Members of the Anoka Concert Band wear a formal uniform that allows the group to present itself in a professional manner while performing. Gentlemen purchase a black formal tuxedo.

    • Buy the $94 value package, 5 piece with notch lapel, item 77b in the 2018 catalog
    • Select your preference for shirt and pant style

    • Savvi Formalwear (will often have flash sales for used tuxes, $$ to $$$$)
    • JCPenney (moderately expensive, $$$)
    • Men's Wearhouse (most expensive, A LOT OF of $$$$$$)
  • Black tuxes should consist of:
    • Solid Black Slacks
    • Solid Black Tuxedo Jacket
    • Black Cummerbund
    • Black Bow Tie
    • White tuxedo shirt

Dresses:

• All members of Levell II & III Bands, (Symphony Band, “New Band”, and Concert Band), wear a formal uniform that allows the group to present itself in a professional manner when in performance. Ladies purchase a specific black formal dress.
• Price: $75 (includes the cost of the dress and shipping charges)

Donations:

Many families have chosen to donate their used tux or dress to Anoka High School when they graduate for students who cannot afford a tux. Please see Mr. Hauser if you have interested in looking at our used inventory, our stock is limited.

Financial Constraints:

Families who need financial assistance, please see Mr. Hauser. We will work with you to make sure your child has a tux for band.
