Anoka Girls Varsity Assistant

Coaching History:

I have been coaching since 2017 with various schools & clubs. My volleyball journey began at a young age in Milaca, MN, & continued at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where I graduated in 2017. Right after college, I took on my first varsity coaching role at a small school in Madelia, MN, and have been coaching ever since. In the fall of 2024, I assisted the Anoka Girls Varsity Team in securing the Section 7AAAA title & a trip to the state tournament. I am the Head Coach for Anoka Boys Volleyball and full time Assistant to Girls Varsity.

Coach Wolbert's Philosophy: As a Coach, my goal is to develop athletes who display grit, energy, accountability, and respect in all they do. Grit drives perseverance and growth, energy fuels our intensity, accountability ensures commitment and high standards, and respect builds a strong, driven team culture. Players will be reminded of important principles such as hard work, perseverance, and teamwork. By instilling these values, I believe we will grow as athletes and individuals, with success as a natural outcome.

Coach Wolbert is also currently serving as a Coordinator for the MSHSL Boys Volleyball Coaches Assocation.

Anoka Girls Junior Varsity 

Coaching History: Coach Lackie's goal is to help athletes grow in skill, confidence, and character while creating a season they genuinely enjoy. She wants every player to improve their game while learning lessons that extend beyond the court: how to be a great teammate, persevere through challenges, celebrate others, and take pride in their progress. She strives to ensure each season is fun, team-focused, and full of meaningful experiences that players will remember long after the final point.

Anoka Girls 9B

Coaching History: I played volleyball throughout high school and club, and my love for the game has continued to grow through coaching. I graduated from Bethel University in 2023, and since then I have had the opportunity to coach a variety of sports at different schools. This is my first year coaching volleyball at Anoka, and I am excited to continue learning, growing, and helping athletes become confident players and great teammates.

Coach Peyton’s Philosophy: As a coach, my goal is to create a team environment where athletes feel challenged, supported, and valued. I believe in hard work, positive energy, accountability, and being a great teammate. Volleyball is a game that requires trust, communication, and a willingness to keep fighting when things don’t go our way. My hope is that athletes leave the season not only as better volleyball players, but as more confident, resilient, and encouraging people. I believe that when we work hard, have fun, and make each other better, success will follow.
