Overview

In this project you will be looking at the theme of Object, People and Place.

Throughout your A Level you will be assessed using the exam boards assessment objectives for component 1 and component 2. 

Component 1 (60%) is assessed out of 30 for each assessment objective. 

The ESA (40%) is out of 20 for each assessment objective. 

Work is assessed in line with the school's feedback policy and engagement in class and home and a Likely to achieve grade. 

Work is externally assessed by a moderator and grade boundaries can change from year to year.

AO1: Research - Images & Artists - 30 marks 

Develop ideas through sustained and focused investigations informed by contextual and other sources, demonstrating analytical and critical understanding


AO2: Experiments with media - 30 marks 

Explore and select appropriate resources, media, materials, techniques and processes, reviewing and refining ideas as work develops. 


AO3: Ideas, Observational drawings and annotations - 30 marks 

Record ideas, observations and insights relevant to intentions, reflecting critically on work and progress. 


AO4: Final Idea and Final Piece, Links with artists - 30 marks 

Present a personal and meaningful response that realises intentions and, where appropriate, makes connections between visual and other elements.
