Hi! My name is Sarah Larson. I grew up in Austin, Texas and recently graduated from Texas State University with honors in the education program. Being an educator is my dream job. Learning has empowered me, given me a voice and agency. I love to teach because it allows me the opportunity to instill a love of learning in my students and empower them to find their own voice and agency.

I believe the purpose of education is to ensure lifelong success for all students by nurturing their passions, expanding upon their interests, and fostering their emotional intelligence. I fervently believe students must be treated as individuals: with different talents, interests, and styles of intelligence. I want my students to know they are safe in my classroom. I want them to know they belong and I want them to know they are valued.

Personally, I am an Auntie to two beautiful nieces. I am passionate about music, books, and mindfulness. I consider myself a student of life and am always looking for opportunities to learn.

I am so excited for this year.
