Hi my name is Camila Acosta. I grew up here in San Antonio Texas and am a graduate of Trinity University. I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree with Majors in International Studies, Spanish and Global Latinx Studies, and Minors in Education and Art/ Art History. I then graduated with my Master's in Teaching from Trinity University.

My love of learning, teaching, and Spanish is largely influenced by my mother who immigrated to Texas from Mexico. She has nurtured in me a passion for the histories, cultures, and traditions of Latin America and has inspired me to follow in her footsteps as an educator. I have also been greatly impacted by the many wonderful teachers I had during my time in school and how much they cared about their students as individuals. I hope to inspire my students just as I have been inspired and show them the world that opens up to them when they learn a second language.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Alamo Heights family and am excited to work with your wonderful students! With the help of the amazing Alamo Heights Administration team and my fellow Spanish teachers I hope to make this a great year!
