Hello! My name is Amie Stover. I have been teaching physical science and biology at Anoka High School since 2003. Currently, I am teaching both Biology and College Biology. My background includes a masters degree in conservation ecology from the University of Pennsylvania, as well as graduate courses in natural resources management from the University of Michigan. I have been fortunate to experience both laboratory research and field research through jobs in Philadelphia at the Monell Chemical Senses Center and Ann Arbor at the Natural Area Preservation office.
I challenge myself and all of my students to learn something new every day. Sometimes that is a new fact related to class, sometimes it is interesting trivia, other times it is a new skill. We will learn a lot about active learning and studying to help students develop skills that will help them be successful and excited about learning.
