Curie Division
What are Curie Division projects?
Curie projects are elite-level individual inquiry projects that showcase an exceptional aptitude in a science, engineering, or math/computer science category. The first place project from STEMCon will go on to compete at the Arizona Science and Engineering Fair (AzSEF - website here).
The prizes for the top five are as follows:
First Place: $1,000 Scholarship & and a place in the AzSEF competition
Second Place: $750 Scholarship
Third Place: $500 Scholarship
Fourth Place: $300 Scholarship
Fifth Place: $200 Scholarship
If you are the first place winner, you will need to ensure all of these requirements are met in order to compete at the AZSEF Competition
These events will be judged by professionals in the STEAM field
Project Criteria
Projects must be individual projects and will be either "Engineering", "Math/Computer Science", or "Science" projects (see below)
All Curie Projects must include:
A virtual submission of the following components by :
A Project Presentation (In PDF, Google Doc, Word, etc. - see "Judging Criteria" below for your project type)
All participants will be required to present their project using a physical project poster (board), not to exceed the maximum size limit of 48 inches (width) by 108 inches (height, floor to top of project) and/or a quad chart
You may have a SMALL quad chart included on your poster...however, if you are the first place winner, you must have this seperately to qualify for AZSEF 2024.
