School Counseling Beliefs
Ashland-Greenwood school counselors believe:
All students have the potential to be successful.
Our school should be a safe and secure environment for all students.
We are advocates for every student and must provide equitable services and opportunities for all students.
Student needs are met through disaggregating student data and through consistent program assessment.
School counselors are leaders within the school, within the community and at the district and state levels.
The school counseling program strives to promote and improve student academic needs, social/emotional needs and promotes career readiness for all students.
School counselors collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, administration and community stakeholders in order to meet student needs.
