The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is a non-profit foundation that offers internationally recognized educational programs for students aged 3 to 19. Founded in 1968, it aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who contribute to a more peaceful and understanding world through education. The IBO works with over 5,600 schools across more than 160 countries worldwide. The IBO offers four main programs:
Primary Years Programme (PYP): For children aged 3-12.
Middle Years Programme (MYP): For students aged 11-16.
Diploma Programme (DP): For students aged 16-19.
Career-related Programme (CP): For students focused on career-related education.
The IBO emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and a rigorous, holistic curriculum.
