All the components of your Thermomix are Dishwasher safe (except of course the electronic base). If you want to use your mixing bowl again straight away, use the Thermomix's self-cleaning capabilities.

Cleaning Your TM6

Pre-Clean

Swipe left to the Functions screen and select the Pre-Clean icon.

Add a maximum of 1000g/1L of water and 1 drop of dishwashing detergent or up to 50g of vinegar to the mixing bowl and start the Pre-Clean function.

Once complete, you can rinse your bowl and continue cooking.

Quick Wash

The Thermomix is so awesome, it will clean it's self!

Once you have finished using your Thermomix bowl do the following:

      • Fill it with enough water to cover the blades (about 250mL)
      • Blend 20-40secs/speed 9

If the food is particularly greasy, just add a drop of washing detergent and do the same steps.

Cleaning your TM5 and TM31

Self Clean

The Thermomix is so awesome, it will clean it's self!

Once you have finished using your Thermomix bowl do the following:

      • Fill it with enough water to cover the blades (about 250mL)
      • Blend 20-40secs/speed 9

Deep Clean

Sometimes you will find a film forming on the bottom of your bowl or some stubborn odours after that delicious curry - don't worry, its is easily cleaned off.

There are two options:

    • Place 20g bicarbonate of soda into bowl with 200g white vinegar.
    • Cook 10mins/100oC/Speed 4
    • Brush with green Thermomix bowl brush
    • Rinse under the tap.

Or

    • If you have any left over lemons after juicing them or making lemonade, pop them into your bowl with 200g water.
    • Turbo 2-3 times for 1 sec each
    • Cook 10mins/100oC/Speed 3

Stained Lid?

Often after making a dish or sauce containing tomato or turmeric, you will find your lid goes a yellow/brown colour. Both these stains are UV light sensitive - so just pop your lid in the sun for 30mins and the stain will fade.
