Geographic Information System (GIS)
Pre-Program Activities
GIS pre-program activities are designed for you to gain exposure using geographic information system software before camp. Each activity is designed to be 30 minutes or less and may be completed at your own pace. As you complete the pre-program topics, think about how your everyday life may be affected by GIS. A few examples are below:

There are many ways in which geographic information systems play an active role in our lives. From financial banking to healthcare, and restaurant product delivery, GIS makes the world a better and more efficient place.

You are encouraged to share these activities with your siblings, friends, parents, and community groups. GIS encourages creativity, skill-building, and collaboration.
