Percussion Ensemble

Percussion Ensemble and Honors Percussion Ensemble are performance-oriented ensembles that is part of the Agawam High School Band program. This course is open to any 9-12th grade student with previous music study in percussion instruments. Students will focus on becoming a well rounded percussionist. Students will gain a comprehensive knowledge of both pitched and non pitched instruments, percussion technique, rhythm, and overall musicality through the performance of wind band and percussion ensemble literature. Emphasis will also be placed on the fundamentals of rehearsal etiquette.
