Tasks
Be a member of the preparatory team of the November PEACE Camp 2026, in the role of Participants Coordinator;
Be a member of the preparatory team of the April PEACE Camp 2027;
Support the EFIL Staff in developing the content of the PEACE programme by updating of the PEACE Manuals and other educational materials;
Follow the preparations for the different PEACE programme cycles and Camps from the collection of number of participants to their full implementation;
Join the Preparatory Team of the VSS 2027 in the role of Participant Coordinator;
Coordinate communication with and assist participants throughout the registration process and follow-up;
Manage communication with National Offices regarding volunteers' participation to the VSS;
Assist the other members of the Preparatory Team in their specific tasks;
Contribute to the report of the event;
Support the initiatives related to the European Pool of Trainers (EPOT) including the Travelling Trainers Scheme;
Any other tasks related to the work of EFIL to be identified during the ESC period together with the volunteer.
The volunteer will be mainly under the supervision of Marie Boutier, PEACE & VSS Coordinator.
Experience as volunteer of an EFIL Member Organisation is preferrable;
Interest in the topics related to our work (active citizenship, global citizenship education, ICL, etc.);
Good command of English language (written and spoken);
Acquainted with the use of Excel and the management of data;
Acquainted with designing promotional material;
Acquainted with the use of online learning platforms, social media and other new online tools.
This European Solidarity Corps programme lasts up to 12 months. During the ESC programme, the volunteer will take part in ESC orientation camp (organised by the National Agency JINT), can follow a language course - either Dutch or French (costs will be covered by EFIL), and engages for 38.5 hours of volunteer work a week (incl. language classes). The volunteer receives an allowance of 1120 euros (covering accommodation, food and pocket money), plus the return international travel at the beginning and end of the programme is covered. Please note that this project is pending funding. We are confident that we will be able to confirm the programme as soon as it will be possible.
The programme is set to start in September 2026.
The volunteer should be a legal resident of an EU country or one of the following countries: Albania, Algeria, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Georgia, Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Israel, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Libya, Moldova, Montenegro, Morocco, Norway, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tunisia, Türkiye, Ukraine.
The volunteer should be between 18 and 30 years old.
The volunteer applying should already have taken contact with a European Solidarity Corps sending organisation holding a valid quality label (either an AFS organisation or other). Please note that NOT all AFS Organisations are ESC accredited organisations; check with your office before submitting your application.
