Tasks
Communications Intern: support EFIL external and internal communication (draft posts for website and social media, layout EFIL publications, create graphics for EFIL communication outputs), and the preparation and attendance of the EFIL leadership meeting on 28-30 May 2027 (Greece). The intern will be under the supervision of Tonia Satou, Communication and Governance Officer at EFIL.
Projects Intern: support the EFIL project 'Rural Roots' - which aims at facilitating a transformative journey for young people from the exchange to leadership in rural local chapters. The internship includes the preparation and attendance of two events within the project, namely the EPOT meeting/training in Jan/Feb 2027 (France) and the Youth exchange in July (Germany). The position also includes supporting the EPOT activities, such as the Travelling Trainers scheme. Being an EPOT member is recommended for this position. The intern will be under the supervision of Luis Gomez, Senior Project Officer at EFIL.
The candidate needs to be enrolled in a higher education institution at the short-cycle, Bachelor, Master, or doctoral level in a Programme Country, or a recent graduate (erasmus-plus.ec.europa.eu)
Deadlines for applying for an Erasmus+ internship are different in each university. Some have a set deadline, some accept applications on a rolling basis. Please get all the needed information on application deadlines before applying, and communicate such deadlines in your application.
Experience as volunteer of an EFIL Member Organisation and in EPOT is preferrable, other volunteering experience is very valuable;
Experience in communication (only for the Communications intern);
Interest in the topics related to our work (global citizenship education, intercultural learning etc.);
Excellent command of English language (written and spoken);
Acquainted with the use of Excel and the management of data.
Please note that you will need to apply for an Erasmus+ grant through your home institution to support living costs during the traineeship. Applicants are advised to contact the International Office at their university for information on grant availability and application procedures.
EFIL tops up the Erasmus+ grant to ensure that the selected candidates will receive a monthly allowance of 1200€, plus coverage for the public transport monthly ticket.
The deadline to show interest for those positions is Sunday, 20 September 2026. We will review the applications on a rolling basis.
The internships are set to start in February 2027.
