Senior Social

Friday, August 21, 2026

11:00 am

Seniors filled the cafeteria for lunch, picked up their senior shirts and their yard signs, took pictures, and won raffle prizes.

Fratelli's (Sweetwater Town Center, Apex) generously provided 600 sandwiches and there were boxes left at the end. Those went to the AFHS staff first, and the rest went to the Apex Police Department. A giant thank you to Fratelli's Delicatessen. as this was the single biggest ask of the year and they covered it. They cater, and graduation-party season is coming, so please keep them in mind.

Also, a big thank you to our seniors chairs and volunteers who made this event happen, plus our parents/families who donated and/or bought signs! It takes a community to create memorable events for our students.

Senior Parking Spot Chalk Event

5:00 - 7:00 pm

Only WASHABLE Chalk is allowed. No spray chalk. No chalk pens. No oil-based chalk. The chalk MUST say washable.

Safety: PLEASE DO NOT drive into the student parking lot especially when people are in there decorating! Kindly park in other areas, such as the back parking lots by the buses -- not on the side of the street. Safety of our community is our top priority.

The AFHS PTSA loves seeing everyone having fun and bringing out their creativity as we celebrate our seniors. This is a loved tradition, the spirit of which is to show our seniors support, love, and best wishes as they start their last year at AFHS. This event is NOT about a contest on who has the best art.

Families of students who do not have a parking spot are welcome to come and decorate a sidewalk square in the perimeter of the student parking lot.

HAVE FUN! We can't wait to see all your creativity!

Senior Parade

6:30 am

The Class of 2027 Senior Parade will be on Monday, August 23. Seniors should begin gathering at the Apex Nature Park starting at 6:00 am to get in line. The parade will start at 6:30 sharp and end in the student parking lot.

There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place best decorated cars and most spirited students/passengers. Please be safe and have fun!

Senior Sunrise

Monday, August 24, 2026

6:45 am - 7:20 am

Senior Sunrise will follow immediately after the Senior Parade at 6:45 am. Students not participating in the parade are welcome to come to the football field after arriving to school.

It is a great opportunity to see your friends before school starts, grab some breakfast and drinks, and hopefully form a "2027" on the field for memorable photos.
