Channels

ATXTAK utilizes a feature called channels to quickly turn on and off various data feeds.

Channels are setup into two categories

• Normal - Your location is shared with other users

• Read Only - These channels are one way to provide data to your device.  They do not share your location.

AEMS_Ops - would be setup as a normal channel for an AEMS employee, but would be read only for an Austin Fire employee.  This allows an EMS user to drop Fire locations to declutter, but Fire can still view EMS without forcing their location data onto EMS devices.

Interop channels are designed for interoperability of users that may not be authorized in certain systems.  These channels should generally remain off unless needed to prevent inadvertent cluttering of the channel. Temporary, short-term, and mutual aid resources will generally be assigned to an interop channel.

AEMS_Ops - Austin EMS personnel and assets
AEMS_TacMed - Austin EMS TacMedic personnel and assets (Restricted to users authorized by TacMedic manager)
AFD_Ops - Austin Fire and TC ESD personnel and assets
AFD_SpecOps - Austin Fire SpecOps personnel and assets
AEMS_Ops - Austin EMS personnel and assets
AustinEnergy -  Austin Energy Utility personnel and assets
INTEROP_ATC_01  -  Austin / Travis  County  Interop  channel (Default new users assigned to this group)
INTEROP_ATC_02  -  Austin / Travis  County  Interop  channel
INTEROP_COTA -  Circuit of  the Americas  Interop channel
INTEROP_EMTF -  Emergency Medical Task Force Interop channel
INTEROP_RTF -  Rescue Task Force interop channel (Restricted to Austin EMS and FIRE, allows user to declutter home agency)
INTEROP_CORA -  Circuit of  the Americas  Interop channel
INTEROP_SpecialEvent_01 -  Generic Special Event interop channel
INTEROP_SpecialEvent_02 -  Generic Special Event interop channel
INTEROP_UT -  University of Texas Interop channel
RandD -  Research and Development  (Restricted  to  users interested  in beta  features and testing feeds)

ufeed_ELEC -  Electrical outage information  (by request)
ufeed_FEWS -  Flood  Early Warning System  (Low water crossing  closures)
ufeed_TrafficSignals -  Traffic Signal outage information  (by request)
xfeed_AFD_CAD -  Dispatch  Incident  Information (Restricted)   Due to  integration  issues  calls remain active for 20-30  min.
xfeed_Aircraft_ALL -  (Restricted to  UAS  and  ARFF  users)   All aircraft within 200NM of  KAUS
xfeed_Aircraft_PublicSafety -  Known  public safety aircraft.
xfeed_HazMat -  HazMat  data  feeds
xfeed_UAV -  Public Safety UAS  systems and video  feeds  (Roadmap feature , currently  INOP)
