After spending years apart attempting to curb the spread of COVID, we come back together in need of a healing experience of one another’s presence and the Ethical Culture value of bringing out the best in one another. These hardships don’t have to define us; instead, we can integrate them into our story and move forward feeling a sense of shared overcoming. This is why the Assembly will center around stories that change us and the healing practice of storytelling itself.
Guest speakers include writer, activist, and professor Chris Stedman, and author and activist Zaynab Abdi.
As part of the Union’s commitment to economic justice, we want the AEU’s 2024 Assembly to be as financially accessible as possible. If the registration fee is a barrier for you to attend, please email gbonin@aeu.org to inquire about any scholarships that might be available.
Consider reaching out about a scholarship if you:
are supporting children or have other dependents
have significant debt
have medical expenses not covered by insurance
receive public assistance
have immigration-related expenses
are an elder with limited financial support
are an unpaid community organizer
are a returning citizen who has been denied work due to incarceration history
Times and sessions are subject to change. Please note, the Assembly Business Meeting will be free and open to all and does not require purchasing a virtual registration ticket.
Join us virtually or in-person at the 109th Assembly of the American Ethical Union! (Note all times listed are local or Central Time.)
