Dr Arnout has considerable experience in participating or leading Techno-Commercial Asset Due-Diligence and Competent Person Report (CPR) preparation. As EuroGeologist title holder he is entitled to sign off on Company Reserves and Resources reports submitted to regulatory bodies.
A non-exhaustive list of his asset due-diligence experience in recent years includes the following projects:
Asset Due Diligence for two gas fields onshore West Australia (2022): Part of the due-diligence team who performed a pre farm-in / pre-merger review of the resource assessment/reporting and development plans of one multi-faultblock stacked reservoirs gas field and one tight gas field in Perth basin, Australia.
Acquisition Due Diligence for Onshore Thailand Asset (2022): Pre-acquisition due-diligence, providing QA/QC of client’s in-house subsurface assessments of 7 producing oil fields in Concession L53/48.
Acquisition Due Diligence review Comet Ridge’s Mahalo asset in Eastern Queensland, Australia (2021): Pre fam-in review an ongoing CBM gas development (Mahalo Main) with several producing, and surrounding CBM exploration/pre-development acreage (Mahalo North and East).
Acquisition Due Diligence review of the assets of Kris Energy (2021): Kris Energy’s assets included four development areas (Thailand Block BB/32 and B9A – Benchamas field, Thailand Block G10/48 – Wassana field, Bangladesh Block9 – Bangora field and Cambodia Block A – Apsara field). Additional exploration/pre-development acreages held by Kris included Thailand Block G6/48 (Rossukon), Indonesia’s Bulu Psc (Lengo field) and Sakti PSC. Arnout lead the G&G assessments of STOIIP and infill potential especially for Wassana, Apsara and Rossukon.
Due Diligence review of Belida PSC, Onshore Sumatra, Indonesia (2021): pre farm-in review of one producing oil field, one producing gas field, some nearfield prospects and exploration potential within the block.
Due Diligence review of Galilee Energy’s CBM Assets, Queensland, Australia (2021): pre fam-in review of two producing CBM gas pilots, several historic pilots and surrounding CBM exploration acreage.
Phase 1 Due Diligence review of EPEMI’s 2008 Oil PSC and Gas PSC, Malaysia (2020): pre-acquisition due diligence review of EPEMI’s entire portfolio of Malay Basin assets including a high-level review of ongoing production and remaining reserves, and inventory of future projects addressing technical maturity and commercial status, potential value and risks. Arnout coordinated the project and carried a large part of the assessment work.
Due Diligence review of PM304, Malaysia (2020): pre-acquisition due diligence review of PM304 offshore Malay Basin including producing assets (Cendor and West Desaru fields), discovered but undeveloped faultblocks and prospective resources.
CPR and Reserve certification for Anasuria Cluster in North Sea (2019): review and technical assurance of the CPR and reserve certification for a cluster of offshore oil fields and prospects.
Mandala annual reserves reporting (2018-19): independent technical review of oil and gas reserves of an onshore oil and gas field in Sumatra, Indonesia. Arnout was the lead geologist who performed QC of geophysical and geological interpretations, did the independent in-place volumetric assessment of oil and gas, provided input to the material balance and DCA-based assessment of recoverable reserves, assisted with economic screening and assessed PRMS project maturity status for the various resource projects.
Reserve Certification for certain fields in Indonesia (2018): technical review and independent verification of oil and gas reserves of Ramba’s portfolio of assets onshore Indonesia, for the purpose of Ramba’s annual reporting under the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) rulebook. Arnout coordinated the project and in addition, performed the key G&G tasks and provided QA/QC of the overall technical delivery.
Mako Competent Persons Report (2017): due-diligence assessment and technical review of a shallow gas asset offshore Indonesia, providing geoscience and overall technical robustness assessment for input into a CPR.
Mature field dataroom support (2012): Geosciences and re-development feasibility screening in support of a mature oil field farm-in opportunity. Presented study findings to senior management and to regulator as part of the bid submission process.
