Eco Life in Eco Environment for European Citizens

Our project involves 220 students aged between 13 and 17 and 25 teachers of five schools, covering all the type of general secondary schools, public or private:

• OZEL TEVFIK KUSOGLU ORTAOKULU Kayseri - Turkey

• Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Francisco Fernandes Lopes, Olhão - Portugal

The main purpose of the project is to provide civic skills to the participants so that they think and act in order to ensure a healthy life in a clean environment for their communities.

The specific objectives of the project, which will be realized during the next two years are:

O1-to improve the professional competencies of the teachers in order to promote ECO concepts and ECO behaviours for the students

O2-to improve the knowledge about the causes and effects of climate changes and develop students skills in order to diminish their consequences

O3-to raise awareness on the importance of protecting human health and our planet's environment

O4-to develop appropriate waste management skills at the personal, local, regional and national levels

O5-to promote the behaviours of living healthy and harmoniously, in accordance with the nature's laws

O6-to develop language and communication skills for civic and democratic participation in building active European citizenship
