Albert Einstein Academies Athletic Department seeks to instill positive character-building traits in our students through the demonstration of good sportsmanship, respect for others, responsibility, fairness, caring and good citizenship. This includes a commitment to the physical and emotional well-being, social development of student athletes, as well as, individual and team skills, best practices, and the will to win. Athletes will exhibit the IB Learner Profiles in school and during athletic events as they are role models and ambassadors to the school, which means they will be held to the highest of standards.
Conclusively, the mission of the athletics program is to reach as many students as possible, to create an atmosphere of school spirit and develop a culture of student-athletes around school, and inspire effort of all who are associated with AEACMS. Through this mission, we will unite the melting pot of students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community in a shared experience of sports.
Participation in school sports programs is a privilege, not a right. To earn that privilege, student-athletes must abide by AEA and Athletic Department rules, and they must conduct themselves, on and off the field, as positive role models who exemplify the IB Learner Profiles.
In order to play, the students-athlete must:
Turn in all required medical forms
Maintain good standing with teachers regarding grades and behavior
Attend school the day of a game or practice to participate
In School Suspension does not count as in school
Refrain from incidents in Kickboard (see next section)

Kickboard Policy: Every 3 minors corrections or 1 major correction within a season will result in a 1 game suspension. At the 3rd suspension, the student will be removed from the team in a playing and practicing aspect; the student can help with practice and game setup and stay on as a manager. If the student wants to return to the team after 2 weeks, a meeting between the Student, Student’s Parent/Guardian, Athletic Director, Head Coach, and at least one Teacher to determine the outcome will need to be scheduled. Incident examples on the next page.
Ejection from game: If a student is ejected or removed from a game either by their coach or the referee, then they must miss the next game. It is the coach's decision if the student can practice during suspension; the student is allowed to attend the game, but cannot be in game uniform.
This policy DOES NOT apply to the following: fouling out of a game, too many penalties.
This policy DOES apply to the following: a penalty resulting in a game misconduct or ejection
In the 2023/24 school year we were able to participate in the first ever IB Cup. This year we hope to return with even more teams.
