Water Is Life and Our Shared Responsibility
Clean and safe water is essential to everyday life. It keeps people healthy and supports the growth of the community. To ensure that everyone has access to safe water, several important actions must be carefully planned and carried out. First, it is necessary to revisit and update landowners regarding the initial construction of the water tank scheduled for January 2026. Informing landowners ahead of time helps build trust, avoids misunderstandings, and encourages cooperation within the community. Second, the initial procurement of construction materials should be done early and responsibly. Securing quality materials on time helps prevent delays and ensures that the water tank will be safe, durable, and reliable for long term use.
Another important step is the creation of a Barangay Executive Ordinance and Resolution that supports the adaptation of the IWASH Council at the barangay level and formally recognizes the Balok Tubod Waters Association. This action strengthens local leadership and encourages shared responsibility in managing and protecting water resources. In addition, consultation and meetings with the Municipal Sanitary Office are needed for the requisition of chlorine for chlorinator devices. Chlorine is essential in keeping the water clean and free from harmful germs, helping protect the health of the community.
All these efforts show that providing clean water requires cooperation, planning, and commitment. When the community works together, access to safe water becomes possible for everyone.
As a reminder of its importance, we should always remember this truth.
Water is the way of life.
