February 22, 2026- Our Color Splash Fun Run held last February 22 was a remarkable demonstration of unity, health promotion, and community engagement. With more than 200 enthusiastic runners participating, the event successfully brought together individuals from different sectors, all sharing a common goal of promoting physical fitness and well-being.
The success of the activity was made possible through strong collaboration with the local government unit, led by Mayor Glona Labadlabad, whose support highlighted the importance of community-based health initiatives. The involvement of the Rural Health Unit under the leadership of Dr. Rex Samon further emphasized the role of preventive health programs in improving public health outcomes. Their guidance ensured that the event aligned with broader health promotion strategies in the community.
In addition, the coordination with various agencies such as the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Fire Protection, Traffic Management Unit (TMU), and officials of Barangay Balok ensured the safety, organization, and smooth flow of the entire event. Their presence provided security, emergency response readiness, and proper traffic management, which contributed greatly to the overall success of the activity.
Beyond the numbers, the Fun Run served as a platform to strengthen community ties and encourage healthier lifestyles. It was not only a physical activity but also a celebration of teamwork, shared responsibility, and commitment to public health. The active participation of runners and stakeholders reflects a growing awareness of the importance of wellness in the community.
Overall, the program was a success, showcasing how effective coordination, leadership, and community participation can lead to meaningful and impactful health initiatives. The event stands as a testament to what can be achieved when different sectors work together toward a common goal.
