Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as their only creed and hold certain fundamental beliefs to be the teaching of the Holy Scriptures. These beliefs, as set forth here, constitute the church’s understanding and expression of the teaching of Scripture. Revision of these statements may be expected at a General Conference Session when the church is led by the Holy Spirit to a fuller understanding of Bible truth or finds better language in which to express the teachings of God’s Holy Word.
The Bible is a sacred book for Christians. It’s divided into two main parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament.
Old Testament
Content: Contains writings before Jesus Christ was born.
Genesis: The creation of the world and early history.
Exodus: The story of Moses and the Israelites' escape from Egypt.
Psalms: Songs and prayers.
Prophets: Messages from God to guide people.
New Testament
Content: Focuses on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
Gospels: Stories of Jesus’ life and teachings (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John).
Acts: Early history of Jesus' followers.
Epistles: Letters from early church leaders (like Paul) to various churches.
Revelation: A vision of the end times and Jesus' return.
