This page will tell you everything you need to know about preparing for your Exam Day, how to check your results and accessing Post result services

The Exams usually take place at our Brockley Rise Centre.


Please follow the latest advice from the Government regarding 2020-21 exams





Arrive 15 minutes before the start of the Exam

Make sure you know the location of the Centre

Make sure to bring your ID

Please turn off your mobile phone and any electronic devices before entering the Examination Hall

WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE EXAM DAY

Please read this carefully as this will help you on the day!


ARRIVING AT THE CENTRE


Ensure you bring with you a black pen, ruler, calculator (only for Maths exams) and your passport/ID

Be at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the exam start time

Look at the exam signs and locate your designated exam room.

Read the exam notices which are displayed outside the exam room

The invigilator will inform you when it is time to enter.

BEFORE THE EXAM START


You will find the seating plan outside the room so make yourself familiar where you’ll be sitting once when you go inside the room.

Switch off your mobile phone, including any alarms/reminders

Switch off any other electronic devices, including alarms on your watch

Be ready to place mobile phones and other unauthorised items (books, bags, etc.) in the area that your invigilator will specify

DURING THE EXAM -UPON ENTERING THE ROOM


· You will be under Exam conditions therefore No talking, raise your hand if you have any questions

· You may keep a bottle of water, remove the label and place it on the floor next to your desk, so as to avoid any accidents

· After you are seated, the invigilator will ask to see your passport / ID, in order to confirm that you are indeed the correct candidate

· The invigilator will distribute the question papers (and in some cases a separate answer sheet and / or rough paper)

· The invigilator will give specific instructions for each paper. Please pay attention and ask the invigilator if you have any questions.

WHEN THE EXAM STARTS


· Read the instructions on the front of the question paper (and the separate answer sheet if relevant)

· Do not open the question paper until the invigilator tells you to do so

· The invigilator will inform you about the duration of each paper. Make sure that you complete all tasks in the allocated time as you will not be allowed any extra time to transfer your answers

· You must not talk, copy, keep or use unauthorised items (such as mobile phones) because you risk being disqualified

· If you wish to go to the toilet, an invigilator must accompany you for security reasons

· Please raise your hand. No extra time will be given for a toilet break

· The invigilator will remind you when you reach the last 10 minutes before the end of the written papers.

UPON COMPLETION OF THE EXAM


· At the end of the exam you will be asked to put down your pens

· The invigilator will collect all question papers, answer sheets before you are permitted to leave the exam room. You must remain seated while this happens.

How to access your Results

You can access your results online via the Result plus Direct service. You will also receive an email from the exams team notifying you of your result.

In order to access results through Result plus Direct service, your exams officer will need to register you using your email address.
